While there are different destinations of the Mexican Caribbean that are ideal for diving, none can compare to the beautiful Island of Cozumel. Since the year 1964, this place was recognized at the international level by the impressive structures of corals and countless species of marine animals that are found in the depths of its waters. The island is about 16 kilometers wide and 48 kilometers long and is part of the second barrier of coral reefs most extensive in the world, stretching from the north of Isla Mujeres to Belize. It is one of the most popular sites in Latin America by divers of different nationalities.

- Paradise: the area is located to one side of the cruise ship dock and has a wide visibility and an important number of schools. It is one of the easiest sites to explore on the island, which makes it perfect for beginner divers and for training dives during the night. Your precious cantil is decorated with huge sponges elephant ears and barrel, which are highly sought after by underwater photographers. As almost all of the reefs, its average depth is 15 to 30 metres.
- Chankanaab: although it was named by the mayans as ?small sea?, this wonderful natural aquarium is actually a lagoon that integrates the national reserve of the same name. By having very calm waters and transparent, in recent times it has become one of the busiest places of the island, since there you can do scuba diving or free without running any kind of danger. - Yucab: is located to the southwest of the island and the reef, longest in the american continent, so it is necessary to carry out several dives to be able to cross it in its entirety. This site has little depth but concentrates a myriad of species, among which stand out their sponges and various crustaceans.
- Santa Rosa: giant structure barrier reef is another of the most used areas of the area by divers, which starts at 18 meters deep and descends to places that are beyond the limits of man. His best landscapes can be seen when you get to 25 or 30 meters. Another attraction of this sector are the constant appearances of the turtles of Hawksbill. The site has a lot of current, so it is recommended for professional divers especially.
