A ninth edition of the LATIN AMERICAN FOOD SHOW started yesterday with great success at the Península Convention Center of the Iberostar Hotel Cancun. Inaugurated by Laura Fernández, the State Secretary of Tourism, LAFS will run until Friday, November 14. LAFS 2014 is one of the most important international exhibitions of food and beverages in Latin America, where you will find the best companies and professionals in the sector showcasing the latest news and innovations.

Aimed at food and beverage buyers from all over the world, LAFS is a platform to showcase the great diversity of products from Latin America, where the climate and fertile land favor the production of high-quality food. This edition will generate opportunities to make new deals, renew contracts, and form important business partnerships, all in an exceptional setting like Cancun, with its excellent hotel infrastructure and vast experience in international events and congresses.

This year features the participation of 50 buying companies from Europe, Asia, and America, over 6,000 invited buyers, and 300 Mexican companies looking to open or expand their export markets. There is a pavilion of 40 exhibitors from Sagarpa, as well as exhibitors from the State of Mexico, Querétaro, and Jalisco, along with 20 invited countries. They are offering products such as mezcal, craft beer, organic coffee, fish, gluten-free flour, chocolate, mole, and sausages.

For the first time, there is a Quintana Roo pavilion, featuring products made in the region, such as honey, sauces, eggnog, traditional sweets, candies and jams, red wine and bacon, peanut butter, instant drink powder, honey and wax-based cosmetics, gum, chocolate, and pepper, which have caught the attention of buyers from the United States, Asia, Europe, and South America.

Come to the LATIN AMERICAN FOOD SHOW 2014 at the Iberostar Hotel Cancun from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., and enjoy an excellent showcase and tasting of the best food and beverages produced in Mexico, Central, and South America.
