The coasts of the Yucatan Peninsula are well-known in the whole world, in the first place, for having been the land where the mayan civilization developed their empire and, in the second place, by the waterfront paradise that become ideal locations for enjoyment. Within this peninsula, one of the states most visited is Quintana Roo of Course! The state in which they are Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and many other cities renowned tourist resort.

In addition to these familiar cities in the world, the coasts of Quintana Roo are home to villages that hide in the forest: among the lush vegetation of the tropical jungle and the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea there are hidden paradises of dreams that still have not been witness of the advances of modernity. One of the clearest examples of these earthly miracles that exist in the coasts of the Mexican Caribbean, is Calderitas. This fishing village is located only about 10 miles from Chetumal, the city’s most important and developed part of Quintana Roo. But unlike her, here there is no noise and the rush.

The streets in Calderitas are made of sand, there are not many vehicles circulating because they were simply not needed; in addition, through its streets is a pleasure! While you walk the immensity of the landscape will take your five senses and the most exotic of the local nature you will impact and that will leave you dumbfounded.

Did you know that the name of this town in time maya was ?Already axcanab?, which means the place of green water? So you can imagine that, the waters of the sea, here with a green emerald that shines with the rays of the sun, leaving the sight of the most exotic fish of colors! Currently, as I have already mentioned, this fishing village takes the name of Calderitas, the same was assigned by the Spanish, who upon arrival were met with hundreds of boilers in the earth in which the maya baked their clay utensils and their pieces of art.

Visit Calderitas is escape to paradise, is to enjoy an environment that’s nothing known about the hustle and bustle of the big cities, it is left to seduce by the beauty of the Caribbean!

What you can do here? Enjoy the best of beach days of your life in a private setting and surrounded by exotic. While enjoying a sun bath, what better than to enjoy a drink or tropical with a dish developed on the basis of fish and seafood. Superb! And, as if this outside little, also you’ll be able to kayak and enjoy a breathtaking view of the most beautiful beaches in the world, sail to the Island Tamalcab where the exotic is multiplied, and the waters hold their most valuable treasures. In addition, the practice of snorkeling here, it becomes a liability.
